HOW TO GET HERE

American Airlines, Continental Airlines, and TACA Airlines fly daily to and from Belize. Delta Airlines and US Air also fly several days per week back and forth. Connections are through Miami, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte, Newark and San Salvador. Check with your local travel agent for prices and the most convenient connection from your area.

Telephone and Internet communication to and from Belize are accessible, and international direct dialing is also available.

English is the official language, but Spanish is widely spoken.   

HOW TO GET FROM BELIZE CITY TO PLACENCIA VILLAGE AND MIRAMAR APARTMENTS

By Flying:

From Belize City/ Philip Goldson International Airport (a 30 minute fight) down to Placencia is recommended. There are frequent flights daily on Tropic Air and Maya Island Air, the local carriers.

By Driving:

Should you intend to take a tour of Belize, you may want to rent a car, but if you are just coming to Miramar Apartments, we suggest you fly to Placencia. Driving can be a lovely adventure, however it may take over 3 hours due to partly unpaved roads.

Taking the bus is the least desirable way to get to us. We advise against it.
